Bishop Family Christmas Tradition
Every Family has their own Christmas Traditions, and here at Bishop’s, we take them to a whole new level! We LOVE the Holiday season, and celebrating it with you! Let us start with a well-known favorite, the lighting of our barn. Kevin, our wine connoisseur, goes out of his way to light our 100-year-old barn from top to bottom. This year we even are expanding our lights to the vineyard, so Clover, our mascot, will not lose sight of her favorite grazing spot. Once the barn is lit, warm up with some of our wine hot cocoa, or Christmas sangria, and don’t forget about our heartwarming mulled Applenoonie! Once you have your wine in hand, stand by a fire pit with friends, roasts smores, and listen to some live music!
There can’t be any more fun to be had, well let us surprise you! We will also be hosting wine glass painting, charm making, and wagon rides, to really help keep you in the holiday spirit. If you were at our Fall festival, you will understand just how much fun it can be crafting while sipping on a glass of Bug House Merlot, or Cranberries Dream!
No Christmas season is complete without an ugly sweater party. So, get your ugly sweaters ready, why? Because on December 15th we celebrate ugly sweaters and corn hole tossing! Make sure to like the Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery Face Book page to keep up to date on these fun traditions.
Since we are so thankful for our amazing customers, family, and friends, we are doing a 12 days of Christmas sale! Starting December 13th, we are going to have $1.00 off a bottle of the featured wine of the day. Blog is written by our very own Mollie Kate Clayton. You can find her serving most weekends, spreading her knowledge of wine, the farm and the Bishop’s to all who find there way to our tasting counter!Oh yes, not to be misleading but no horse drawn wagon rides this year, we are using a tractor. But it sure makes a beautiful picture doesn’t it! Maybe horses next year. We are looking for someone to do that if you know of anyone!
